At Coronation Physiotherapy, we do not begin treatment until we understand what is actually causing your problem. Every patient receives a thorough one-on-one assessment before any clinical decision is made.
Most physiotherapy experiences follow the same pattern — a brief intake, a standard treatment, a generic exercise sheet. If that approach had worked, you would not still be searching.
At Coronation, every patient relationship begins with a comprehensive assessment. Your physiotherapist takes the time to understand your full history, how you move, and what you are actually trying to get back to. Only then does treatment begin.
From that first appointment through your final session, you work with the same physiotherapist. No hand-offs. No assistants taking over halfway through. The clinician who assesses you is the clinician who treats you.

Our physiotherapists are trained in a range of advanced techniques. Treatment plans are built around what your condition actually requires — not a standard protocol applied to every patient.
Techniques include manual therapy and joint mobilization, Gunn IMS and dry needling, radial shockwave therapy (three types), therapeutic exercise and progressive rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, spinal traction and decompression, and medical acupuncture.

Leigh Garvie is one of only four physiotherapists in Canada to hold the CPA Accredited Clinical Specialist in Sports Physiotherapy designation — the only one in Alberta. She has served on the Canadian Medical Team at six Olympic Games, three Pan American Games, and the Commonwealth Games.
That level of diagnostic experience is available to every patient who books an assessment at Coronation, whether you are a competitive athlete, a post-surgical senior, or someone dealing with a condition that other clinics have not been able to resolve.
