Our story

Serving Northwest Edmonton since 1987

Coronation Physiotherapy has been part of Northwest Edmonton since 1987. The practice is now in the hands of a new team of experienced registered physiotherapists, who carry that legacy forward with care that begins with a proper, one-on-one assessment and a plan built around the individual patient.

The clinic operates from a dedicated 3,400+ square foot facility at 14315 118 Ave NW, Unit 142, Edmonton, AB T5L 4S6, in the same Northwest Edmonton neighbourhood the practice has served since 1987. Our registered physiotherapists and therapists combine hands-on manual therapy, Gunn IMS, three types of shockwave therapy, dry needling, and progressive rehabilitation.

Gugan Dakshnamurthy

Co-Owner . Registered Physiotherapist

Gugan holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and has more than 14 years of clinical experience treating musculoskeletal conditions. His interests include the neck, shoulder, and knee, and he is certified in assessing and treating BPPV. He combines manual therapy, shockwave, therapeutic exercise, and dry needling.

Muthuukaruppan Muthiah

Co-Owner . Registered Physiotherapist

Known to patients as Muthu, he brings more than 24 years of clinical practice and is the most senior physiotherapist on our team. His depth of experience spans a wide range of musculoskeletal and rehabilitation conditions.

Serife Sahin Durgun

Registered Physiotherapist

Serife earned her degree in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation from Okan University and has worked across hospitals, rehabilitation centres, and private clinics. She treats patients of all ages, with experience in acute injuries, chronic pain, movement dysfunction, and post-operative rehabilitation.

Karen Stachiw

Registered Massage Therapist . Manual Osteopathic Therapist

Karen combines massage, osteopathy, and yoga to relieve pain, reduce stress, and restore balance. With 25 years as a paramedic, she brings care, compassion, and real-world experience to every client.

Nastaran Khavari

Office Manager

Nastaran oversees daily operations and ensures a smooth experience for clients and staff. With an MBA from the University of Alberta and a background as a physiotherapist, she brings both business insight and clinical understanding.

Nidhi Vora

Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA)

Nidhi supports patients with individualized exercise programs and rehabilitation plans. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Gujarat University and an OTA and PTA diploma from Conestoga College, with over four years of experience in long-term care and outpatient settings.

Kaye Monteverde

Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA)

Kaye supports patients through their rehabilitation with individualized exercise programs and therapeutic interventions carried out alongside the physiotherapist. A graduate of the Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant diploma program at NorQuest College, she brings a strength-based, patient-centred approach focused on helping people regain confidence and independence.
